The philosophy
We are committed to two things – good wine and our region. Combining these two pillars is our passion. We see it as our task to make the best of what nature gives us, to bottle the ideal conditions of the Eisenberg and to press wines that are typical of the region with a focus on organic cultivation.
Southern Burgenland stands for down-to-earthness, sincerity and authenticity. This also applies to our wines. They taste mineral, powerful and are full of finesse. Just like the Eisenberg – there is always something new to discover…
With the Blaufränkisch, our region has a jewel that distinguishes the Eisenberg from other red wine-dominated wine regions. Welschriesling is also deeply rooted in our region. This long underestimated grape variety develops its full potential here and has a firm place in the identity of the Eisenberg.
These two wines with Eisenberg DAC status impress with their unmistakable character, the combination of elegance and fullness that presents itself on the palate. It is important to us to emphasize these advantages, this uniqueness. Anyone who drinks a wine from the Eisenberg should also taste the Eisenberg.

Mathias Jalits
Bereits in fünfter Generation betreibt Mathias Jalits den Weinbaubetrieb.
Nach der Absolvierung der Hotelfachschule in Oberwart zog es ihn zunächst in die Gastronomie.
Seine Leidenschaft für den Weinbau blieb lange bedeckt.
Erst als sich diese vollends entfaltete, besuchte er die Weinbauschule und ließ eine Ausbildung zum Weinbau- und Kellermeister folgen. Seit 2001 führt Mathias Jalits den Familienbetrieb, dessen große Stützen seine Eltern Anna und Alfred sind.

Michaela
Whether general inquiries, orders, deliveries, advertising, and so on… Michaela keeps an overview in the office and has an open ear for everyone and everything.
Pirmin
Whether cellar work or vineyards. Pirmin lends a hand wherever his expertise is needed. As Mathias’ right-hand man, he has an overview of the entire operation.
Szabi
Szabi has been part of our team for many years, knows the vineyards like no other and is on first-name terms with the vines. He also brings his knowledge and skills to the wine cellar.
Susi
Susi is the good soul of the vineyards and always shows a good hand for the vines.
Balasz
Balasz is not a man of many words. He prefers to let his professional skills and extraordinary reliability speak for themselves in the vineyard.
Klaudia
Klaudia is responsible for ensuring that the guest house on the Eisenberg is sparkling and shiny and always neatly prepared for guests.
Fredi
Mathias’ father Fredi represents the fourth generation of the Jalits winery and has been working in the vineyards almost since birth. He has been a great support to Mathias with good advice and, above all, action.
Anni
Together with his father Fredi, his mother Anni provides important support for Mathias and the entire business. Without their support, the development of recent years would not have been possible.
